How Long People Waited To Get Into Disney World's Toy Story Land

How Long People Waited To Get Into Disney World's Toy Story Land

It's hard to believe that it took this long for Toy Story to get its own themed area at Walt Disney World, but better late than never! Toy Story Land is Disney's latest attraction and is based on the widely successful Toy Story franchise from Pixar. The park section had its grand opening yesterday, and in what shouldn't come as a big surprise, people came from far and wide to experience life-sized toys and brand-new rides. Toy Story Land was absolutely packed from the moment it opened its doors and by 9 a.m. there were waits as long as 300 minutes.

WDW Magic, a blog that covers Walt Disney World, was on hand to catalog the entire opening and they report that people were waiting to get into Toy Story Land as early as 4:30 in the morning. The park opened at 6 a.m., two hours earlier than originally announced. Arriving early isn't a very good strategy when hundreds of other people are thinking the same thing. Within the first hour, Slinky Dog Dash had a four-hour (or 240 minutes) wait time. It wasn't long before the park reached full capacity and operations had to be closed down for anyone who didn't have FastPass+.

By 9 a.m. in the morning, it was a three or four-hour wait just to enter Toy Story Land and 300 minutes (!) just to ride Slinky Dog Dash. Lines were as far back as the Chinese Theater, which might not mean anything if you've never been to Hollywood Studios, but rest assured that it was a long line. To help control the crowds, Pixar Place (basically a small attraction right before Toy Story Land that's modeled after Pixar Animation Studios) was hosting some meet and greets with Woody, Buzz, and Jessie. For the people who were there that day, the rest of Hollywood Studios was operating normally.

Located in Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, Toy Story Land is filled with everything you'd come to expect from Disney. The new park features detailed rides and structures that make you feel like you stepped into one of the movies. Green army men walk around as you move from one ride to the next, with the highlight being the aforementioned Slinky Dog Dash, a roller coaster based on the character from the movies. All of this is catnip to vacationing families and Disney fans looking to spend a day at the park, and Toy Story Land was filled to capacity in just a few short hours after its grand opening on Saturday.

I suppose one lesson here is that you should never go to the grand opening of anything at Walt Disney World without a chair. Now I can't wait to find out what's going to happen when the Star Wars park opens.

Someone Edited Deadpool Into The Avengers: Endgame Trailer, And You Cant Unsee It

Someone Edited Deadpool Into The Avengers: Endgame Trailer, And You Cant Unsee It

While we may not know the fate of everybody in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, it does appear that Deadpool survived, as a fan who has been making a habit of inserting Deadpool into Avengers trailers has now given the same treatment to the latest Avengers: Endgame trailer, and the result is actually pretty entertaining. Check it out.

The Deadpool-filled trailer gives us all of the video that we got with the new Avengers: Endgame trailer, but replaces all of the audio with commentary by Deadpool, or at least a reasonable facsimile provided by the Mightyraccoon! YouTube channel. If you've seen any of the previous trailers the channel did that added Deadpool, you'll know what you're seeing here. We get a combination of Deadpool making sardonic comments to the Avengers as well as becoming several of them at various points in the trailer.

There are a couple of rock solid highlights, which come when Deadpool actually becomes part of the trailer, in the flashback shot from Captain America: The First Avenger, Deadpool actually lifts the pre-super soldier Steve Rogers so that he can better see himself as a soldier, which is great, and a nice bit of video manipulation. Then, at the end, Deadpool gets clocked in the back of the head by Stormbreaker. It's a simple gag, but an effective one.

It's actually sort of nice to get this shot of humor in the Avengers: Endgame trailer. The Marvel movies usually have a good sense of humor to them, but the dour and desperate circumstances surrounding the new movie means that everybody is very serious and nobody is cracking a smile. There's probably some humor in the film, but showing it off in the trailers would almost certainly shift the tone quite radically.

Of course, with the expectation that the Disney/Fox merger will be officially complete as of later this week, one can't help but wonder if something like what we see here is actually in our future. The Deadpool movies are one of the few parts of the Fox/Marvel universe that are hits and likely to survive the merger without being rebooted. Does that mean we could see Deadpool along side the Avengers in a future movie? It seems like a long shot, but at this point pretty much anything is possible.

With this likely being the last trailer we will see before Avengers: Endgame hits theaters, it could be our last Deadpool-infused trailer. We have no idea at this point if there will ever even be another Avengers movie, or what characters it will include if we do see it. We're not sure what MCU movies we'll get after Spider-Man: Far From Home. While we now know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will happen, it's going to come much later than originally planned.

The Venom movie is finally in theaters this week, and it's already off to a very interesting start. Early reactions for the film have been mixed, and now it's been discovered that fans of Lady

In the case of Alden Ehrenreich, he was cast to play Han at a time when we know he looked like '70s Harrison Ford. All the other recasts were for depicting characters at very different stages in life (like the two Obi-Wans), or characters that had full-covering costumes (Vader, Chewie, etc.).

Thanks for the comment, but Please read the review prior to commenting. This was the one thing I asked people not to address! I know about KAZAAM with Shaq. It's a completely different film! IF you read my review of SHAZAM vs the synopsis of KAZAAM you would see that there are virtually zero similarities.

By the looks of the trailer, The Possession of Hannah Grace has a few good scares going for it. Yes, it seems to resemble the body horror that comes with a lot of demonic-possession stories, and poor Kirby Johnson, the actress playing Hannah, seems to have has a horrific time on set. This may rival Suspiria for the most disturbing body twists

Chicken Run Is Finally Getting A Sequel

Chicken Run Is Finally Getting A Sequel

Sequels can strike at any moment, especially if the fandom is on board, and the IP holders are willing. That said, even the staunchest fans of Chicken Run probably didn't expect to see a second installment come together at this point. Yet, as of today, those folks who signed will have a lot to celebrate about, as Aardman Animation has announced that they are indeed moving forward with development on a second Chicken Run film!

While there are scarce details reported by THR covering Aardman Animation's announcement of the sequel to the most successful stop-motion animated film ever, we do know Chicken Run 2 has a fantastic stable of talent already in its development coop. Sam Fell, best known for directing ParaNorman and Flushed Away, has been given the directorial duties, with Karey Kirkpatrick and John O' Farrell -- the writers of the original Chicken Run -- being brought back to craft the next chapter of Ginger, Rocky, and the rest of the gang's adventures. Rounding out the lineup of talent are fellow Aardman stalwarts are producer Paul Kewley, and executive producers Peter Lord and David Sproxton.

This news isn't as surprising as it may seem at the outset, because Aardman has been keen on Chicken Run 2 happening for some time, with today's news finally putting the film into active development. Considering the film grossed $224.8 million on a $45 million budget back in 2000, the reasons for a sequel to this potential franchise are pretty sound on paper. An added bonus is once the project officially moves forward, it makes perfect sense for this movieto be taking off at this time and place, as Aardman is working hard on next year's Shaun the Sheep movie, Farmageddon. This perfect timing would leave a lot of potentially re-usable sets ready to ease the film into shooting Chicken Run 2, should it be announced as going full steam ahead into production in the near future.

Of course, seeing as there will be at least 18 years that separate Chicken Run and Chicken Run 2, there are a lot of questions hanging in the air as to what the new film will be about. Above all others, the potential involvement of Mel Gibson as Rocky the Rooster will probably be one of those queries that'll be hotly debated between now and whenever further information is provided. Not to mention, the question of whether Chicken Run 2 will happen right after the first film, or if it will take place after 18 years in real time, will likely come up. (How long do chickens live, anyway?)

No matter the answer to those questions, having Chicken Run 2 to look forward to is a pretty pleasant occurrence. While it's still merely in development, and anything can happen on the road to production, the fact that the studio is actively working on a concept is reason enough to celebrate! Though if we're allowed to offer our two cents in the matter, we'd like to say that if Chicken Run 2 is a go, those wise-cracking mice, Nick and Fetcher, better be along for the ride!

While there's no release date or start date for Chicken Run 2, Aardman fans will be able to enjoy Early Man when it hits video on May 22nd, 2018. Not to mention, Shaun The Sheep Movie Farmageddon, is set to flock to theaters in the UK on April 5th, 2019. But if you're more concerned with entertainment you can see on theatre screens on the near future, check out our 2018 release schedule for everything that's coming down the pike.
