Bryce Dallas Howard Really Wants The Original Actors Back For Jurassic World 3

Bryce Dallas Howard Really Wants The Original Actors Back For Jurassic World 3

Last year, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom finally gave fans a taste of what theyd been asking for with the return, albeit in cameo form, of Jeff Goldblums Dr. Ian Malcolm. Now, with Jurassic World 3 set to close out the trilogy that began in 2015 with Jurassic World, there is a hope that we will see the whole trio of Jurassic Parks actors return. And were not alone because actress Bryce Dallas Howard really wants the original actors back for Jurassic World 3, as she explained:

Yes, very much so. If that happens, I don't know. I don't know what's been confirmed or whatever, but I'll blink if it's happening and maybe.

Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Claire Dearing in the Jurassic World films, seems to want the original Jurassic Park trio of Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill to return for Jurassic World 3 as much as the rest of us, and perhaps more so because it would give her a chance to work with them.

In fact, in her comments to MTV News about the possibility, she seemed positively giddy at the prospect. And who could blame her? The original Jurassic Park is an iconic film and one that Bryce Dallas Howard, like so many of us, presumably grew up with. So of course she is all in on that trio coming back for more dino droppings and chaos theory.

This isnt the first time Bryce Dallas Howard has championed this idea either. The Rocketman actress has spoken in the past about how she didnt get a chance to actually work with Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom because her character never interacted with Ian Malcom. She has also said that if she could bring back one of the original cast to the franchise, it would be Laura Derns Ellie Sattler.

To Bryce Dallas Howards delight, she may get her wish. In her comments to MTV News, she mentions that she doesnt know what has been confirmed, playing it coy and not wanting to say too much. But when she says Ill blink if its happening, she purposefully blinks a bunch. Its not the same as an official press release, and we cant say for sure yet, but that would seem to indicate that things are looking good for the original Jurassic Park trio to return for Jurassic World 3.

Jeff Goldblum has also teased Laura Derns return in the past and the actress herself has made it plain that she would come back if asked. It makes sense that these three would be brought back now too. Jurassic World 3 isnt just the concluding chapter of the Jurassic World trilogy, it is also (for now at least) the culmination and end of the Jurassic Park story that began in 1993.

Therefore it would be a bit of a bummer if we didnt see these beloved characters one last time. Director Colin Trevorrow agrees with that sentiment, which is hopefully good news for Bryce Dallas Howard and Jurassic Park fans.

Jurassic World 3 hits theaters on June 11, 2021. Thats a long way off and presumably youll want to see some other movies before then. Check out what you can look forward to this year in our 2019 Release Schedule.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard And More Are Returning For The Jurassic World Ride

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard And More Are Returning For The Jurassic World Ride

After the Jurassic Park ride had an over 20-year run in Universal Studios, the attraction became extinct last year to give way for an upgrade reflecting the current Jurassic World movies. Ahead of the new ride opening its gates sometime this summer, it has been revealed that a few of the franchise's stars will be part of the Jurassic World - The Ride experience.

Chris Pratts Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howards Claire Dearing and BD Wongs Dr. Henry Wu will each reprise their Jurassic World roles for the upcoming ride, which will feature an original storyline. The cast will offer facts and information about the dinos (presumably as guests wait in line) and may have roles in the interactions with the prehistoric creatures on the ride itself.

This is an exciting addition to the upcoming ride! It always helps with the immersion in the experience when your favorite characters get to tag along, and Jurassic World - The Ride is doing just that. Additionally, the new Universal attraction will feature the Aquatic Mosasaurus in a massive aquarium observatory appearing to be 60 feet in length, 30K pounds and enclosed in 3.5 million gallons of water.

Industrial Light & Magic assisted in giving spectators an authentic view of the Mosasaurus. The creatures tank will have different lighting depending on the time of day it is visited. The trailer for the ride offered a sneak peek of Mosasaurus, along with a sure appearance from T-Rex. Take a look:

The ride will also see the opening gates and outside landscapes and will feature additional appearances from the more gentle Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus before encounters with Velociraptors and Dilophosaurus disrupt the peace. Jurassic World - The Ride will still have guests boarding rafts and finishing their journey on a 84-foot waterfall drop at the end as the previous version did. This time it looks like riders will be escaping a battle between T-Rex and new behemoth dinosaurs.

Along with the redesigned ride, there will be a Raptor Encounter next to it, which will include Blue meeting with guests. Dino Play will be an area catered to kids exploring and finding giant dino fossils in the Universal land as well.

The ride comes right in between the success of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom last year and the upcoming third film coming in June 2021. The main cast will soon be returning to close out the trilogy after the dramatic events of the sequel, and could potentially feature the return of some of the original Jurassic Park cast.

Universal Studios has not yet given a specific open date for Jurassic World - The Ride, except for indicating it will come in the summer. The park also has a special Dark Arts at Hogwarts experience going on over at its Wizarding World of Harry Potter area, including a new show projected on Hogwarts Castle.

Why The Final Trailer Finally Got Me Excited For Dark Phoenix

By  at November 03, 2019  , , ,  No comments
Why The Final Trailer Finally Got Me Excited For Dark Phoenix

I have to be honest: Up until now, I havent been sold on Dark Phoenix as a theatrical experience. None of the trailers for this next and last in this run of X-Men films have made me feel as if this is a must-see blockbuster of epic proportions. Considering this is the end of an era, and the propertys popularity in the past, that had been kind of a worrying sign. Thankfully, there's been one final trailer to turn the tide for me.

When I sat down to watch this final trailer for director Simon Kinbergs big turn at bat, I found I'm actually pretty excited to see the finished product that is Dark Phoenix. Theres a couple of really big reasons why this mornings final trailer to the end of the X-Men universe as we know it has me absolutely hyped, and I'm glad to share them with you as we're not too far out from experiencing this pretty big happening.

Now comparing that trailer for Dark Phoenix to all others, theres a pretty big jump in my feelings towards the material. The rhythm of this new trailer is the cleanest Ive seen out of all of the Dark Phoenix materials, which is surprising considering theres not all that much different in terms of whats being presented.

All the other Dark Phoenix spots did have most of the same building blocks and story beats. Jean absorbs a weird energy source and becomes unstable, mystery character Jessica Chastain is encouraging her to embrace this new power, and the world feels like its going to be in for some massive hurting. This is the A-Z story weve been presented with, and for the most part Ive remained skeptical, but willing to be swayed.

The swaying came with this final look at Dark Phoenix, as it lays it all of the same points weve seen, but with a better sense of urgency. We see a glimpse of the space rescue that starts it all, with a panicked Cyclops being a perfect catalyst to push the rest of the footage along. After that, its a pretty quick and sliding scale from Jeans miraculous survival to her campaign of utter desolation. Shes embraced pain and shes not afraid of inflicting it.

Which leads to another reason Dark Phoenix has me sold: Sophie Turners performance as Jean Grey. When added to the lineup in X-Men: Apocalypse, she was a key player, but still a member of a growing ensemble. Everyone knew how important she would be to the story, and it was touched upon briefly in that film as a sort of tease for the future.

Dark Phoenix definitely looks like it not only acknowledges that promise, it fulfills it entirely; and its because of the growth Turner is allowed to exhibit within this character. The scene in the final trailer that really sold me on Jean Grey as a threat is when she confronts Michael Fassbenders Magneto. Up until this point, hes felt like the most powerful mutant on the side of the protagonists in the X-Men films.

Regardles, that moment where Jean breaks his ever-important helmet and she tells him that threatening her isnt the best idea is the sharpest contrast from the Jean we saw in X-Men: Apocalypse, and it properly sets the table for the main course: a fight between the X-Men and one of their own. Sophie Turners simultaneously threatening and sympathetic character makes it all go round more smoothly than I could have ever imagined. If youre going to end a series like the X-Men, at least for the time being, you need to send them off on a pretty big note.

Thats what this Dark Phoenix footage really feels like its setting up. Its the end of an era, with a grand finale to something that kicked off so long ago in X-Men, and was reborn in X-Men: First Class. Much like Avengers: Endgame has been spelling out the end of the line for the first story arc in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Dark Phoenixs last look before the big show has given weight to this apocalyptic event. There is a schism coming to the X-Men universe, and nothing will be the same once its concluded.

Prior to now, it hadnt felt this serious, but now, its feeling pretty grave. The X-Men series has always been about fear of the other, with Charles Xavier and his mutants being on the side of good an acceptance. But now, with Jean Greys Phoenix powers, the man and his students are thrown into another microcosm of that argument; and theyre not exactly on the same side as theyve traditionally been on.

If thats not a note to end an X-Men story arc on, I dont know what is; and this last trailer has given me so much to think about and anticipate with this new film. Again, all of this was in previous trailers, but the presentation in this latest one really drives all of the pieces home for me as a viewer. Thats even taking into account the fact that this trailer is more ambiguous about what exactly happens to Jennifer Lawrences Mystique, despite the promotional material previous to this point basically spoiling that plot point pretty obviously.

Having discussed all of that, let's take a look at the final trailer for Dark Phoenix one last time, and revel in what it portends:

This final trailer to Dark Phoenix not only has me ready to get out to see the spectacle that awaits, it also has me thinking this could be the best X-Men movie since First Class. Im surprised that Fox didnt lead with this sort of marketing push, because this would have been the best launching pad to a potentially huge and engrossing campaign overall. That being said, in the era of stealth release drops and streaming giants marketing a film mere hours before its set to debut, this could be the studios way of adapting to the modern marketplace.

It hasnt been an easy road for Dark Phoenix, so revolutionary and outside-the-box methods such as this do feel like an experimental way to branch traditional theatrical promotions into the future. Whatever the case may be, Im totally on board to see the full extent of the devastation that Jean Grey will bring to the X-Men universe. And Ill be there on opening night to see first it among the die hard fans.

Dark Phoenix unleashes darkness upon the world on June 7th.

So to prepare for this possibly career-altering role, fans need to take a look at everything we know about Zac Efron's Ted Bundy movie. First, some background on Bundy himself.

Simon Kinberg's comments to Collider show how in flux the X-Men franchise as a whole is, and how the folks at 20th Century Fox are a bit more flexible than one would think. While running the X-Men franchise for nearly two decades is a massive undertaking, the studio seems to be flying by the seat of their pants in some ways.
